Memories of Greatford
The Parish Meeting on 26 May welcomed the suggestion to try to pull together memories of Greatford. Ibis Channell had proposed that is important that we remember our village as it used to be and how it has evolved, especially as it is unlikely that in the future people will spend their entire lives in the same community. It is therefore felt that these memories should be recorded and the research has started by speaking to those who have lived here longest and who are still resident. Help is needed in the following ways:
- Do you have old photos, or stories or memories?
- Are you a local historian, an artist or photographer, computer literate, experienced in publishing/printing?
- Do you want to learn more about our village and help provide a lasting legacy?
